Description of the team's research thematic :
This team deals with the topic of man / environment interactions from regional perspective. The analysis of public policies is put forward in the understanding of the evolution of local space organizations. Particular attention is devoted to the management of natural resources "water, soil, vegetation ..." within the framework of sustainable vision of territories development. Three observation fields have been chosen and which frame the research orientations of the team members, the Oran coast, the plain of Melata and the region of Touat.
The working methodology is essentially based on the combination of diachronic and multiscalar approach through the use of several techniques: Remote sensing, field surveys, observations and interviews with different actors. In addition to the work carried out in the framework of doctoral theses, the team has just embarked on a project with a socio-economic impact on integrated wetland management with the forest office of the wilaya of Oran and some local associations. Publications and communications are beingdeveloped.
