Description of the team's research thematic :
At the scale of an agglomeration, urban space is differentiated according to complex mechanisms involving men, their activities, landscapes of the urban space. In this context, the team is interested in the following themes :
- The evolution, forms and characteristics of the Algerian city;
- Urbanization, metropolisation, public services, peri-urban agriculture;
- Practices of appropriation and use of urban and peri-urban spaces;
- The relationship between planning, production, urban management and political developments in Algeria.
The members of the team carry out several works in parallel, in addition to the work of the PhD students, other communications projects and publications, as well as research projects within the framework of settlement projects.
