During these last decades, major transformations have affected the different spaces composing the national territory (Littoral, Mountain, Steppe, Sahara). The maximum exploitation of natural resources, to meet the needs of the people, has led to ecological problems of the ecosystems. Freshwater resources are scarce and vulnerable and the availability of drinking water is decreasing due to environmental problems. These water resources are limited and already widely exploited. The Tellian and oasis areas represent good examples for our team (resources, uses and water management). The objective of our team is to describe, analyze and evaluate the socio-economic and environmental aspects of these two areas, based on multisource data, thematic mapping, field surveys and interviews.
